A TriMet MAX Yellow Line train with two Siemens S70 "Avanto" cars has just departed the Portland Union Station stop on its way to the Expo Center in north Portland.

TriMet currently operates 22 S70s as its 400-series cars, which entered service in 2009 with the opening of the MAX Green Line between Clackamas and downtown Portland.

The agency purchased 18 more S70s to expand its fleet for the September 2015 opening of service from Portland to Milwaukie on the new Orange Line.
