Kansas Gas & Electric 603 Kansas Gas & Electric 603 is a fascinating little cab-on-flat electric locomotive with a mysterious history. Acquired by KG&E from an equipment broker in 1913, its builder and vintage are unknown. After retirement in 1969 it went to the Great Plains Transportation Museum in Wichita, where it remains on display. Photo by Jim Vaitkunas, posted with permission.
