Lake Shore Electric - Greater Cleveland RTA 76

GCRTA 76 is a PCC car built by Pullman-Standard in 1947 for Shaker Heights Rapid Transit. This series of car was designed specifically for SHRT and was wider and longer than standard PCC cars; the cars were also equipped with left-hand center doors. Car 76 wears an experimental livery from early in the RTA era; it was stored on RTA property for years and was not given to the museum until 2003. Photo by Jim Vaitkunas, posted with permission.
